The world has never been a peaceful place to live in. No matter what planet, there will always be war. From the simplest of arguments to the major fights between countries or even planets.
In these wars will be counter-attacks, pre-emptive strikes, and all out carnage. Even technology is subject to these wars, and it's because of the latest rage of technology that has split the entire world.
For two centuries, the gaming world was in peaceful harmony. There was argments, but they were kept for internet debates and not confrontational on a full scale battle. Then came the latest consoles, and a rift was formed between the three major companies - those who make the consoles.
Zeteren had been going fairly strong, despite only starting five years ago. Their latest console, the Z-Ren 3500, had the best graphical power while keeping it cheap. Other developers had already said it was easy to develop for.
Edistel had earned the most sales from their first two consoles, and so hoped to be getting the same results with their new console, the Gamestation 3. This was developed using entirely new technology though, and was leading developers astray.
Then there was Minalof, who had been in the gaming business longer than anyone. Their original game series' had gone to great aclaim, and even more were being made with each console generation.
The rift had been formed by the Zeteren claiming it would beat the other two and drive them out of business. Edistel hadn't been happy at this, and to a certain extent, neither had Mintalof. This was further aided by the fact that Zeteren had released their new console a full year before the other two even had plans to. And to add further threat to this claim, it had completely written off support for its previous console.
A year and a quarter later, Mintalof had come to release their new console worldwide. A few days before however, Mintalof's McAnda headquarters, where the main of Zeteren was based, had been pushed out of the country. Returning to Panan, the former McAnda headquarters of Mintalof was accepted back into the main of the company. Then there was the complication of trying to get the new console into McAnda.
Zeteren had taken complete control of McAnda and rejected any of Mintalof and Edistel's new consoles, and pushed the entire catalogue of their old consoles from the country. They had also removed any third party company supporting the other consoles, even if they also supported Zeteren's, out of the country.
Edistel had then reacted, and created a border between them and Mintalof in Panan, and also threw all of Mintalof's consoles and games out of that half of Panan. Adopting the same tactic of Zeteren, all developers supporting other consoles were also asked to leave the country.
Mintalof felt this very unfair, and tried to import from countries free from the corporate drivers. However, this was proving difficult and expensive, and two years after trying to keep it running, the system was scrapped.
The war of the consoles continued, and each year, at the main gaming conferences, Zeteren and Edistel competed with each other to draw more people to buy their consoles and games.
