] The original idea of making a website came through my friend of The JazNetwork and Paradox Audios. Jaz and me were planning an audio adventure series the previous year in November, and during this planning, and script writing, I was also thinking of other stories I could write. Before I had even thought of this website, and even the logo, I was posting the two stories on Facebook under my profile. After the six days, I was planning on starting the second episodes for the day after, when Jaz said it would be much easier to make a website to host them on. And so I started, after uploading all of the episodes on Facebook to the website, adding new parts to the stories.
] The name comes from my initials. Christopher Searle = C.S. Surely not though, you might ask. But the fact is, I used to do signatures with just my initials. Obviously I couldn't carry this on for when I actually had to do signatures, and if I joined the C and S up it left a gap or no gap at all. This was rectified by using a very small capital D in between the two. I eventually decided to adopt this for this website, but since I couldn't just leave it at that, I had to come up with a proper name. I'm dealing with stories, on a website, that are made via myself with little or a lot of improvisation. The initials just fit the name. And then as a shorthand, so I didn't have to compete with all those CD online retailers, I kept the CDS, and added 'media' all in capitals and directly after.
] The true origins, I guess, are from my creativity. Anything I made, be it game idea, story or film idea, potentially other stuff as well, I wanted a label I could place on it all. However, no such luck came, although there were a few names back in the day, and the CDS one stuck strong, plastered through pages in my notebooks, though it had a lot of different names for it.
] There are some things that I like more than others. And one is creativity. That's why not a lot of forward planning will go into the stories. I have a general idea of where I want them to go, but if I think of a better idea, that will go instead.
However, there is a major fan fiction I am giving a lot of planning for, and a lot of planning is going into a story I won't be revealing for a long time to come. The creative thinking and little planning is what makes some of these stories.
] The first original creation story on this website isn't exactly the first I have written. It is, however, the one I have most worked on. Besides the story itself, I've also been planning the maps of certain areas which I hope to get online soon. A lot of effort has gone into this one, but the main one I started has had the most planning go into it.
] Now then. This was originally just a fan fiction site. Why'd I post original creations? Simple answer is I wanted to showcase my own work and ideas away from existing brands while still able of showing off different story arcs within the fan fiction. Some might even show the same story arcs, but you can see the differences away from an established brand than in one.
] Doctor Who: The Star Wars Chronicles could have been a whole lot different if the original ideas for the audios had been accepted as they were. And that would have meant a whole new backstory. That, of course, would have affected the whole of what you read of Doctor Who: The Star Wars Chronicles.
] Just a short note, before I did this website, I was considering what I could do. One of the first things I did was treble-mixes of songs. I would take three songs of the same artist and join them together. I only ever did two however, before I scrapped it and deleted them from my Youtube channel.
] Animation has really been at my core, and before I started properly at writing on this website, most of what I do I wanted to do as animations. I've watched a lot of films that are animated, and I love cartoons. So why couldn't I have done something like that? Easy. Experience. One year on, I'm still gaining that experience, although anyone who's seen my animated works would probably say "what experience is left to get?" However, I'm still growing in that area, but maybe you'll see something next year.
] Some people have influences. In fact most, if not all, people do. Mine? The songs of Sonic games. That's the most prominent one. Others include Star Wars and Harry Potter? Haven't you ever noticed the references? While I am not going to outright copy and call it my own if it isn't, everyone does references. "May the Forza be with you?" anyone?
] My only wish is that eventually I can expand this website to animation as well. While there is some animation on my other Youtube Channel, that has mostly been work for school/college, and not directly for this website or the company. Now that I have freedom to do what I want [to a certain extent], I'm hoping to have an animation done by Christmas.
] There are loads of fan fiction everywhere. Too much to count. There are websites out there that catalogue people's fan-fiction, places to upload chapters at a time, but this website will accept any fan-fiction as well. And, of course, each one will be credited by that person, and if they have more than one, they will have their own section on this website.
] The way I do stories will now be revealed. Each part should last thirty lines each. It can go over, and should be no little than two lines under, but it should fit thirty lines of Weebly's own editor. If I write stories on Microsoft Office Word, I usually aim for twenty-five lines per part. It will go over, but that doesn't matter.
] The stories themselves will take one of three forms. Either six parts per chapter, ten parts per chapter, or a random number of parts under six per chapter. The act system is used with some stories, and each act is allowed three or four chapters per act. This gives the longer stories a more presentable display. Those that don't have an act system will most likely be those that have under twelve chapters.
] Consider this. Many times I have missed uploading, or haven't done so for a time. Is there a reason to do so? Well, if the uploads of stories are going so quickly that there is no room for suspense, then stopping for a while to keep people guessing is one way of creating such suspense. An extreme example of this was when Pokémon: Shadow Boom was stopped for at least half of the year after the episode four twelve part special.
] This day is my birthday, which means a lot of presents and money which means DVD's, games, LEGO sets and more to give me even more ideas, and this year has been a good haul.
] I feel like I am repeating myself on some areas, and there isn't obviously twenty-five full facts of CDSMEDIA, so anything story related will be posted on CDSBLOGS under this websites section, so I'll be signing off with this, and enjoy the stories. However, I will post about this websites future for the remaining seven parts of this.
] While this design has served us well, I feel a new one is in order. This will better establish the site, and it can also serve as a universal format when I start adding more sites. Changes will include a more streamlined banner, and better colour matching for titles of chapters.
] More stories means even more space on the menu. Subsections would be the easiest thing to implement, and that's exactly what I intend to do. There will only be subsections started when a second story has been completed, so I think you can tell what the first subsection title will be.
] I've shortened this down to twenty now, so this is the last post here. The Eighteenth of January. Remember that date. That is the day of Cyber Digital Services' first anniversary. And that will be the date of a new story starting. And also the day of the universal changes to both this website and CDSBLOGS.
And as a birthday treat, a surprise is waiting.
Crazy Shorts are simple stories that only take a short amount of time to write. Maybe just one part, or one episode of up to six parts. If a crazy short is started, it won't conflict with other stories on here. In other words, the two regular parts uploaded of the main stories, plus a part of this. Bear in mind though, that the upload of these will be random and not follow a timetable of additions like the main stories do.
